The Department of Human Services was established in 1978 under the Home Rule Charter as an umbrella organization responsible for the delivery of coordinated human services and for establishing an administrative structure encompassing services to children, youth, adults, and families with special needs.

April 14, 2024, at 1:00pm - Delaware County Women’s Commission (DCWC) has scheduled an in-person meeting for Sunday, 4-14-2024. The meeting will be in person at Widener University, Bruce Hall, Social Work conference room, 1604 Walnut Street, Chester, PA 19013. Parking is available in the lot behind the building.
