Who We Are

The Delaware County Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities serves all eligible individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder who live in Delaware County. Our goal is to improve the lives of people with disabilities.


What We Do

The Delaware County Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities consists of two units: the Administrative Entity and the Supports Coordination Organization.

The Delaware County Administrative Entity monitors all service providers and Supports Coordination Organizations serving residents of Delaware County to ensure that they follow Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs guidelines. Administrative Entity functions include intake and eligibility determination, provider relations, service authorization, systems coordination, quality management, incident management, and eligibility for and coordination of funding sources.

The Delaware County Supports Coordination Organization provides case management services that connect individuals and families to community resources, both paid and unpaid, to provide them with the opportunity have a self-determined, meaningful lifestyle.


Services

The Supports Coordination Organization assists individuals and families with coordinating various assessments, enlisting the services of willing and able providers, and ensuring the effectiveness services. Paid service options include, but are not limited, to:

How to Make a Referral

Families must first contact the Delaware County Administrative Entity Intake Specialist to determine if the individual meets eligibility requirements. Contact 610-713-2330 for information.

Once it is determined that you are eligible for supports in the Intellectual Disability system, you will select a Support Coordination Organization, meet with a Supports Coordinator who will develop a support plan, and will then coordinate supports for you and your family.


Reporting Abuse and Neglect

If you have been a witness to or have suspicions that an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism, is a victim of abuse, neglect, or exploitation, please see the contact information provided below to file a report:
